Day 1 Tuesday (D) Arrive Melbourne

Transfer to hotel.

After freshening up we can supply you with a Myki card and take you on the tram to the middle of the shopping area of Melbourne or further on to St Kilda and restaurants and the beach or you may want to walk to nearby Lygon Street with its many restaurants or continue across to the Carlton Gardens and the Melbourne Museum.

Day 2 Wednesday (B,L,D) Melbourne tour, Wildlife, Penguins

Visit Fitzroy Gardens and experience some of Melbourne's many parks and see Captain Cooks Cottage and the Conservatory.Visit Capt Cook Cottage

Drive to Alan Smallacombe Trail Rides to enjoy a horse ride for an hour.

Get on the coach and drive to see some of Australia's wildlife at Philip Island Wildlife Park where you get to feed the kangaroos, see koalas and hold a wombat.

Transfer to the big attraction of the area and watch the Penguin Parade as the little fellows waddle up the beach.

Dinner at Philip Island.

Return to Melbourne.

Day 3 Thursday (B,L,D) Wineries - Greyhounds

The morning is spent shopping. Visit Queen Victoria Market for the many bargains to tempt you and to Melbourne Central for more shopping.

Drive to the Yarra Valley for lunch at Fergusson Winery and Restaurant or similar.

Visit wineries in the Yarra Valley to taste wines and buy the ones you like.

Dinner at the Thursday Night Race Night Buffet at Sandown Park Greyhounds.

Day 4 Friday (B,D)   Harness Racing

Walk over to the Melbourne Museum to view the exhibits including Phar Lap, Australia's most famous race horse.Visit the museum to see Phar lap

Visit St Patricks Cathedral and enjoy its ambience.

Ned Kelly was Australia's most famous/infamous bushranger and memorabilia of his life can be seen on a visit to the State Library of Victoria ‎at 328 Swanston Street. Just go up to the fifth floor.

In the afternoon we will drive to Melton Harness Racing at Tabcorp Park, Melton, for dinner and to watch the harness racing and bet on your favourite horse.

Day 5 Saturday (B) Departure Day 

Free time for shopping until your guide transfers you to the Melbourne International Airport for your flight home.


You can drive yourself along this course. As long as you speak English you will have no problem and by searching the internet you will be able to book the different attractions you want to visit.

It is much cheaper to book your hotels before you arrive at the hotel and gives you a price you will be unlikely to achieve yourself.
